sfratti

Questa estate siamo  siamo stati contattati (deZign Studio + be*sign) dal gruppo teatrale indipendente teatriOFFesi. Scopo del contatto è stata la progettazione e realizzazione di una scenografia per un nuovo spettacolo teatrale da loro scritto, dal titolo “sfratti”.

Dopo aver visto, durante le prove, lo spettacolo, abbiamo ragionato insieme sul mood della rappresentazione, su quegli aspetti emozionali che avevamo recepito e su come potevamo trasporli in una scenografia. In più, la richiesta era di una scenografia che potesse essere ricompattata il più possibile al fine di poter essere trasportata con estrema facilità.

L’idea finale è stata quella di rendere l’ambiente più adatto allo spettacolo attraverso un unico mobile, deformato da una sorta di compressione spaziale e materica, dal quale potessero uscire tutti gli elementi con cui gli attori avrebbero interagito per tutto lo spettacolo. Il mobile, da singolo elemento in un angolo del palco, si divide in tanti pezzi, quasi iconici, che invadono tutta la scena man mano che la rappresentazione entra nel vivo.

Il gruppo be*sign si è occupato anche della realizzazione del pezzo, con materiali volutamente semplici, in modo da non trascurare gli aspetti propri dell’ambiente in cui era inserita la rappresentazione.

Questo spettacolo dei teatriOFFesi è ancora in giro per l’italia e speriamo riusciate a vederlo, apprezzando, come abbiamo fatto anche noi, l’impegno e la bravura di Lorenzo e Veronica.

During the summertime we (deZign Studio + be*sign) were contacted by the independent acting company called “teatriOFFesi”. They got in touch with us to design and built a scenery for their brand new theatrical performance, named “sfratti”.

We went to see the practice and we, first of all, tried to understand the mood of  the performance, tring to keep the emotions, finding a way to transpose that in the scenery. But, above all, the scenery has to be small to be moved and easy to built.

The final idea was to built just one piece of  furniture, warped as it was compressed in the space, and, from this strange shape, to let get out the other pieces of  fourniture during the show. This way, the actors should interact with each piece and, all the pieces, could invade the stage during the performance.

be*sign also built the piece of  furniture, using poor materials to follow the performance mood.

This performance by “teatriOFFesi” is still going on somewhere in Italy, we hope you’ll see our work and, above all, you’ll appreciate Lorenzo and Veronica acting.
